WoodWorks wouldn't be complete without Barry Goodman and Graeme Meek bringing Bedfordshire history to life by uncovering long forgotten local songs - and writing their own, celebrating landmarks and events in Bedfordshire life. Veterans of international festivals they will play sing and accompany Redbornstoke Morris side.
1.45 BOKA HALAT workshop
Building on the popularity of Doudoumbe's "drum-a-long-a-Chris" sessions, Boka Halat (whose name means mutual inspiration in the Wolof language of Gambia (Senegal) present a unique opportunity to learn something about the meeting points between English, African and indian music and dance traditions. A Boka Halat concert is a truly unique event which no other band currently in the UK is able to rival.
