Saturday October 4th The Howard Room THE IAN SIEGAL BAND Without doubt one of the greatest talents to come out of the British blues scene in years, Ian Siegal is an outstanding and revered blues man who can make the hairs on the back of your neck shiver to attention. Usually playing larger venues, Ian is tonight playing in the more intimate setting of the Howard Room. Blues fans, music fans, this is a unique opportunity! |

FAB Nights Christmas Party with PJ and Peggy (PJ WRIGHT AND DAVE PEGG) - The Howard Room
Two principal and influential figures on the British Folk-Roots scene, who’ve seen action in Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull and more, join forces again this December. Dave Pegg (Fairport Convention/The Dylan Project) and PJ Wright (Little Johnny England/The Dylan Project) undertake a UK tour called A Night Off with Peggy and PJ. As PJ explains, “There will be a mix of my songs from Hedge of Sound, some LJE material, some of Peggy’s songs and tunes from various sources and a smattering of Sandy Denny and Fairport. We might even throw in a bit of Jethro Tull. Alongside this original material we hope to play some cover versions of our favourite songs down the years. Add in Peggy’s skills as a raconteur and one or two of my duff jokes and it should be an idiosyncratic, rocking evening of virtuoso fun for nearly all the family!”
Plus some seasonal snacks, good company and a chance to celebrate FAB Nights first year in a new venue.

The Kate Doubleday Band Roots, Acoustic, World Music, from a fabulous voice and talented musicians. I have booked Kate and her band on the recommendations of FAB Nighters who have seen her live. I love her music and think you will too. More later. (Michele) “Kate's one of the most imaginative of the current crop of singersongwriters. Her music is strongly spiritual, beautiful and inspirational, confident yet vulnerable, all the while intelligently conceived and executed.” “World music on an intimate scale” - Propergander Magazine July/aug 2008 |
